whether it be about nothing, or everything, or anything in between, y talks.

y talks a lot. some have even said y talks too much.

y-talks is a blog for those who like to spend their time thinking about nonsense and sometimes sensical things about the world. there is no right or wrong way of interpreting what y is saying, but they hope you find something in it. meaningful or for fun.

Am I yearning for a man or public transportation?

Imagine this. You are 1,000 miles over your oil change date but today is finally the day where you decide to be responsible and get it changed. You pull into the parking lot of an oil change establishment and you realize it’s one of those drive through places. Free water bottle while I wait in the car and watch you guys change my oil, fuck it I’ll take it. Then they open up your hood and SMOKE comes out. “Ma’am I don’t know if you saw that but your car is smoking and we cannot work on your car”

Insert disappointment emoji and sweat droplet on forehead emoji. I am never going through a drive through oil change place again.

So then I drive to this Mexican car mechanic, #supportlocalmexicanmechanics, drop my car off and become a solicitor at the Walgreens next to the mechanic spot.

C picked me up, thank god. Now I’m at S and teams house car-less.

It is a time like this, along with many other times where I wish I had a partner. And by partner I mean a beautiful reliable man who will drop everything to take my car to get an oil change and possibly the car mechanic. Yes I can do it alone, I don’t NEED a man BUT I want one, at least for the sole purpose of taking care of my car.

It is also a time like this, along with many other times where I wish I lived in a city where I could rely on public transportation. This leaves me wondering, would I want a man as much as I do now if I had reliable access to public transportation?
